About

Marcel Budiono is a Senior Counsel specializing in general business and civil litigation, as well as consulting with clients on pre-litigation matters. As a business litigator, Marcel is highly experienced in a wide array of business disputes involving fraud, partnership disputes, breach of contract, real property disputes, and intellectual property disputes, including trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, and copyright infringement. Marcel has successfully resolved numerous intellectual property disputes, including inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and domain-name disputes under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP), and regularly works with domain name registrars and website hosts to enforce clients’ intellectual property rights. His diverse legal experience also includes handling probate administration, and probate and trust disputes.

Marcel’s legal accomplishments and dedication to serving his clients have led to the Southern California Super Lawyers naming him as a Rising Star in 2025.

While in law school, Marcel was an editor of the UC Irvine Law Review. He served as a research assistant for a constitutional law professor, and a research fellow for a legal research and writing professor. He also externed at the U.S. Attorney’s Office where he drafted motions and conducted research on federal criminal cases. Notably, as a law student, Marcel argued and won a published case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and was profiled by the Daily Journal for his achievement.
