Silvana Naguib

About

Silvana Naguib is a problem-solver who loves people and thrives on understanding the challenges that drive them. She approaches every case as both a puzzle and a story—one that deserves to be understood before it’s resolved.

An experienced trial lawyer and commercial litigator, Silvana represents individuals and businesses in complex disputes across a wide range of industries, including business and partnership conflicts, real estate litigation, trade secret theft, fraud, non-competes, and legal malpractice.

With over a decade of courtroom experience, she brings both skill and judgment to her advocacy. Clients value her candor, responsiveness, and integrity, and trust her to navigate difficult cases with composure and clarity. She works closely with clients to develop strategies that are practical, cost-conscious, and aligned with their goals.

Silvana’s public service background continues to inform her practice, bringing empathy and perspective to her work—and an ability to connect with clients and decision-makers from diverse backgrounds. Before joining EPGR Lawyers, she led the Homelessness Prevention Law Project at Public Counsel, managing a 24-person team of advocates and trial lawyers. She previously spent six years as a public defender in Washington, D.C., and began her career as a civil rights litigator, handling class actions and constitutional claims involving prisons, jails, and psychiatric institutions.

A NITA-certified instructor, Silvana has presented on trial advocacy and ethical lawyering for bar associations and professional groups. She believes that effective advocacy means understanding what success looks like for each client—whether that’s a decisive courtroom win, a practical resolution, or preventing a dispute before it escalates.

She earned her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and English from Texas State University, and has practiced in California, Illinois, and the District of Columbia.

Outside of work, Silvana enjoys writing and performing music, last-minute travel on standby, and doing improv with her ten-year-old daughter. A certified “nerd,” she happily loses hours researching obscure topics and local history just for fun.
