EPGR’s David Glass was interviewed on CNN before and after the Depp-Heard defamation trial

EPGR’s David Glass was interviewed on CNN before and after the Depp-Heard defamation trial. When asked by CNN if he thought the jury was right in their decision, he said “I’m not so sure it’s what we would call a fair verdict. Certainly a surprising verdict, in that they found both of the parties had defamed each other, but that Mr Depp’s damages were significantly higher than Ms. Heards. Most of us were predicting that this would be a wash; that neither of the parties would walk away with anything, because of the difficulty to prove defamation.” He added that it would be “possible” that there were Depp fans on the jury “but not probable” due to the thoroughness of Heard’s attorneys. Glass, who holds a doctorate in clinical psychologist and is a family law specialist, provided insight into both the potential personal goals for each party for filing, as well as the impact of this holding on their professional lives. He also commented on the legal process for filing a restraining order and its future. Watch the full interview below.
